Tamara Fowler is a Ukrainian born San Francisco based product designer and illustrator. She has been passionately learning and practicing her creative skills in art, painting, drawing and fashion design since a very young age. After graduating Kiev Art Academy with honors, she started her career as a fashion designer and pattern maker, and at the same time occasionally traveled internationally as a model. She won first prize with her collection of tailored clothes for women at the Young Designers Competition in St. Petersburg, and was awarded a trip to Paris and a chance to work with leaders in the industry. There her creative skills blossomed and she realized that there were more opportunities abroad for her to hone her skills as a designer than in her native country of Ukraine. Therefore, in order to pursue her passion as a designer and illustrator Tamara made the decision to take her talents abroad and immigrated to the US. She began her career in the US as a fashion designer at St. John Knits. Later she transitioned into an area that had always been of interest to her, home furnishings. To pursue this passion she accepted a position at the international retail firm Pottery Barn. While there she helped set the direction and concepts for many products as a textile designer and illustrator. Since leaving Pottery Barn, she has worked as a designer and provided consulting for several well-known companies, including Restoration Hardware, Williams-Sonoma Inc, Anthropologie, Cost Plus World Market, Land's End, Gymboree, Elsa L. Inc, as well as a variety of small companies and private clients. From product design, interior decoration to lifestyle illustrations, Tamara is striving to bring individual style, quality, art and beauty into every-day life.
